Coffee Mugs
The first thing that sells pretty well for me is coffee mugs. There are millions of coffee drinkers out there. They love their coffee mugs. Some people are collectors, so the only place that they can find certain mugs at is online. I’ve noticed that some Starbucks coffee mugs seem to sell a lot. Believe it or not, some collectors will pay big amounts for them. I’ve been lucky enough to find a few Starbucks mugs since I’ve started thrifting on Saturdays. I usually purchase them for $0.40 or $0.60 and sell them for around $12. That’s decent profit. Last month I was able to sell six of them for $86. Those types of flips are what keep me on the lookout for the Starbucks mugs. I’ve seen people selling some of them for over $500. Those are usually the special or commemorative editions. I’ve also seen people sell groups of them for over thousands of dollars. If you decide to buy some Starbucks mugs, make sure that you research before you list them on eBay. You don’t want to short-change yourself.
Sports Jerseys
Sports jerseys are another item that sells well on eBay. Buying jerseys from the store can be expensive. eBay prices are typically better. Over the years, I’ve seen Nike and Reebok jerseys do well on eBay. I’ve sold a few jerseys myself during this time. I once purchased a Miami Heat Dwyane Wade jersey from a thrift shop for $3. I was able to sell it on eBay for $42. You can’t beat a $39 profit. That was easy money. The better the team or player, the more you will make off the jersey. Two teams that will always sell are the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. Their bandwagon fans are scattered all over the country. With that being the case, those fans have to get their teams gear online. Many of them get it from eBay.
Bobbleheads
The final thing that sells well is bobbleheads. There are so many sports fans around the country, that like bobbleheads, but they can’t always get to the games to get the bobbleheads. That’s where eBay comes in. Many people are collectors so that’s the only place that they can get them from. I’ve sold bobbleheads anywhere from $20 – $60. If you see any of them at a thrift store make sure that you get them. You will make some money off them.
