The 15 Best Airports in the World

No airport is perfect, but some are certainly better to experience than others. Some airports are getting high-end facilities to attract more people to their airports because there is so much consumer choice and there are so many dollars to spend.

In 2022, about seven billion passengers flew into airports around the world. According to BusinessFinancing.co.uk, these are the world’s best airports.

BusinessFinancing.co.uk started by collating all passenger reviews for major airports across the world from Airline Quality. They removed airports that weren’t international airports, according to Wikipedia, and recorded their county of origin.

For each airport, they then calculated the average rating from reviewers that were defined as “business travelers” under the “type of traveler” category. They then ranked airports globally, by continent and by country (USA, UK) based on this metric.

It’s light and bright in this Vietnamese airport that handles much of the country’s air traffic. The wide open spaces and abundance of natural light have caused this airport to be rated 6.8 out of 10- the top score from travelers.

This famous airport has tried to make the airport itself a destination. The lush interiors have many plants as well as a large waterfall. Local people visit it even when they aren’t traveling. It has a rating of 6.63.

Hong Kong International Airport, China

The extremely high ceilings and amount of windows keep this airport light and airy. It has a little something for everyone when it comes to shopping, dining, and more. It’s rated 6.48

With its highly modern look and clean lines, this airport has a futuristic look to it. It also has many works of art and interesting vehicles that travelers can visit while they wait for their flights. Travelers rate it 6.44.

Every part of this airport seems to be well-designed with the spare Scandinavian style that’s so popular. Even the seats are works of art in this airport. It’s been rated at 6.36 out of 10.

With its space-age good looks and large, open spaces, many people find being in the Narita airport a positive experience. This airport’s many positive qualities have given it a rating of 6.23.

This is an enormous airport that doesn’t feel that way, thanks to its design being several stories tall. This airport has amazing styling and details that include a wooden bridge. It’s rated 5.82.

This airport has many spectacular areas of design, including artistic light coverings and impressive ceilings. The travelers who have enjoyed its design have given it a 5.56 out of 10.

Zurich airport is light and bright with its walls of windows and impressive lighting. It’s spacious and has an elegant overall design. Travelers through this airport have rated it at 4.57.
