The 15 States That Gave the Most Money to Ron DeSantis To Help His 2024 Presidential Campaign

Ron DeSantis has been a prominent Republican candidate for the presidential nomination for the 2024 election. He has gotten a high level of name recognition and has competed with Trump from the beginning of the race.

He’s been a controversial figure, but he’s proven to be competition with Trump for the Republican nomination. He was in second place at the Iowa caucus, showing that he has a lot of supporters. He’s also raised a lot of money for his campaign. People in some states have been much more willing to donate to his campaign than in others.

Florida

It should be no surprise that Florida citizens have given the most to the DeSantis campaign. After all, DeSantis is their current governor and highly popular in the state. He received $12.1 million from Floridians to make his run.

California

California is by far the most populous state, so it shows up at number two on this list. The state tends to lean toward the Democrat side, but with so many people in the state, many do give to DeSantis. He has gotten $3.43 million from this state.

Texas

Another powerhouse of population, Texas has also seen many of its citizens enthusiastic about the DeSantis campaign. People in the Lone Star State have donated $3.27 million to his campaign.

New York

New Yorkers have been voting for Democrat candidates since 1988. However, the state still has its DeSantis fans, and those supporters have donated a total of $2.14 million to try to get him elected.

Pennsylvania

As a swing state, Pennsylvania donates to many different candidates of various political persuasions. One of its favorite candidates is DeSantis, and they donated $853K to him.

New Jersey

In the Garden State, there are plenty of DeSantis supporters. They have given DeSantis $784K to help him with his campaign despite New Jersey being a very blue state.

Tennessee

Tennessee is a solid red state, so it’s been donating to many Republican candidates, including DeSantis. People in the Volunteer State have donated a total of $710K to the Florida governor’s presidential race.

Virginia

While Virginia used to be a Republican state, in recent years, it’s flipped to blue. Nonetheless, the people of Virginia have donated $588K to DeSantis’ campaign.

Illinois

As a state with a large population, Illinois has a lot of money to dole out to candidates. People from this state have given DeSantis $503K to help him get elected president.

Georgia

Often considered a purple state, it can go either way in national elections. Many of its people are supporters of Ron DeSantis, and they’ve given him a little over $500K for his campaign.

Arizona

As a true purple state, Arizona can swing either way. It’s hard to predict how Arizona residents will vote, but they do seem to like DeSantis. They’ve given him $404K to help fund his run for the presidency.

Colorado

As a blue state, Colorado residents are largely split between urban and rural areas when it comes to voting. They haven’t given much to the DeSantis campaign at just $395K.

Kansas

Kansas is generally a Republican state, though it has flipped a couple of times. The state doesn’t have a large population, and its donations have subsequently been relatively small. They’ve given the campaign $344K.

Indiana

Indiana has a population of almost seven million, and the state is extremely red. However, DeSantis doesn’t seem to be a favorite candidate for Hoosiers. They’ve donated $335K to him.

Massachusetts

As a Democrat state, there hasn’t been much interest in Ron DeSantis. Residents of this seaside state have given $330K to the candidate to help him get elected.
