There are some countries where the majority of visitors love their experience. However, there are other countries that people come back from and never recommend to anyone. These countries often have circumstances that make the trip miserable so that visitors can’t wait to leave and go home.

Egypt

Egypt is known all over the world for its majestic pyramids and amazing archaeological record. However, it’s also become well-known for the street harassment that people face there. It’s especially difficult for women to travel there because of the attention and harassment they get.

South Africa

Crime is a serious problem in this amazing country, and it doesn’t just affect the locals. Many people who travel to South Africa are so worried about their safety that it prevents them from having fun on the trip.

Saudi Arabia

While men can travel the country freely, women have to have a male escort and must be suitably covered up. Both men and women who travel there have several restrictions on them, making it hard to do much of anything inside the kingdom.

Mexico

There are astonishingly beautiful places inside this lively country, but the crime is also off the scale. People who travel there often fear robbery, kidnapping, and worse, even when staying in a nice area.

Morocco

Nothing beats the style of Moroccans, but it has street harassment at levels similar to Egypt. It’s difficult for women to simply walk around in the country, and they generally feel unsafe there.

India

The brutal poverty and sky-high population of this country have made it hard to enjoy for many people. The cities tend to be dirty and have (literal) tons of trash around. Women also face dangers from men who get aggressive with them.

Jamaica

No one could deny the beauty of Jamaica. However, it also has a terrible problem with both crime and street harassment. It can be nerve-wracking to be there because of the aggressiveness of the population.

UAE

With laws that favor men, female travelers often have trouble when visiting this desert country. The locals tend to be arrogant, and there are harsh rules that every visitor has to follow.

The poverty in the poorest country in the Western hemisphere can make travel to this country highly unpleasant. It’s also a place that can be violent and unpredictable for visitors.

Like Jamaica, the Bahamas is a desperately poor country that is difficult to visit for foreigners. Many people from other countries are assumed to be rich, and people try to get money from them.

With a poor infrastructure and a lot of poverty, many people find that they don’t enjoy their trips there. There are a lot of scammers there who try hard to get money out of foreigners.

Many people report that the number of children sleeping in the street can be depressing when visiting this beautiful company. It also has a lot of drunk tourists who don’t treat the locals well, and visitors have to contend with that, too.

The crimes committed against tourists can be serious, and the infrastructure is quite poor. Women also face harassment on the streets, and anyone can be scammed by crooked people- including officials.
