There are rich people around the world, but there are some areas that have more wealthy residents than others. When looking at how many millionaires there are in each country, it isn’t even remotely even.

There are major wealth centers in certain countries that represent far more wealth than exists in other areas. It’s amazing how many millionaires there are; this is where they’re located.

United States

It’s probably no surprise that the United States is in the top spot for its number of millionaires. It has 22.7 million of them, according to Visual Capitalist. This is more than triple the number located in the second-highest country.

China

With its skyrocketing economy and massive population, it’s no wonder that China has the second-highest number of millionaires. It currently boasts 6.2 million of them.

France

France has one of the strongest economies in Europe, and that’s reflected in its number of millionaires. From fashion brands to energy companies, there are 2.8 million millionaires in France working in various industries.

Japan

Japan has the same number of millionaires as France with  2.8 million. Japan’s strong economy is tech-company heavy, and that spells high growth and success in many cases.

Germany

As Europe’s biggest economy, many highly successful companies in Germany have spawned millionaires. With its 2.6 million millionaires, Germany is quickly building wealth.

United Kingdom

As another wealthy country, the U.K. has a high number of millionaires in its population. It has just 67 million people, but it boasts 2.6 millionaires- the same number as economic powerhouse Germany.

Canada

In the second spot in North America, there are 2 million millionaires in this wealthy nation. There are only 38 million people in this nation, giving it a very high ratio of population to millionaires.

Australia

Australia is the only country in Oceania to be represented in this list. It has 1.8 million millionaires out of just 27 million people. Its real estate prices are booming, adding to the wealth of the country.

Italy

Italy has a complex economy that benefits from high fashion and other long-standing brands. This country has 1.3 million millionaires in a country that has about 60 million people.

South Korea

The high-tech market has certainly affected the wealth located in South Korea. The home of many cutting-edge brands, this Asian country has about 1.3 millionaires.

Netherlands

India
