When you get to a new city, you may be unfamiliar with the smell there. Some cities just smell better than others. This can be because of some factors, such as the cleanliness score of a city, the number of bakeries versus the size of the city, how many perfume shops it has, and how many flower shops.

According to Haypp, these are the best-smelling cities in the world.

Athens, Greece

This city has a smell score of 8.3 out of 10. It has a lot of flower shops and bakeries, given the size of the city. It also has a very high number of perfume shops. It isn’t the cleanest city in the world, but it does smell the best.

Paris, France

Paris is known for its bakeries and perfumeries. It has a higher level of cleanliness than Athens, and it has a lot of flower shops. All of these earn the city a smell score of 8.2.

Zurich, Switzerland

As a relatively clean city, it already has a nice smell before you take into account the types of shops it has. The city has plenty of flower shops and bakeries, and it’s doing great in terms of perfume shops. It gets an overall score of 8.1.

Romania’s capital city isn’t all that clean, but it does have many perfume and flower shops. It’s the largest city on this list, and it could get more shops for those who love perfume. It gets an overall score of 7.2.

In this small city, there are a comical number of bakeries. The whole place smells like bread and pastries baking. It also has the most perfume shops on this list. It doesn’t, however, have any flower shops. It gets a score of 7.2.
