Staying organized is not something that we are inherently born with, and sometimes, we need to incorporate certain practices to stay organized.

Here are some helpful hacks to help you stay organized. They may not all work for you, but hopefully, there’s at least one or two ideas here to steer you in the right direction to a more calm and collected life.

Purging is great for anyone who finds that they have too many things. It’s also helpful if you find that you are misplacing too many things and struggling to find them. It’s so easy to get too many things piling up in our homes, thanks to the material world we live in.

It’s, therefore, crucial to do a decluttering mission every few months or so. To streamline this task, you can make different piles for the things you want to donate, keep, and discard.

2. Compartmentalize and Categorize

To get a good handle on the way your home is organized, it could be really helpful to categorize your belongings into different compartments.

The whole idea behind compartmentalizing is to guarantee that you will, later on, find what you’re looking for — and putting like with like really makes finding things more viable.

3. Store Digitally

We may think that multitasking is a great way to get things done fast, but multitasking actually leads to mistakes and can even have negative effects on our mental well-being, such as stress and depression. When you focus solely on the tasks you have on hand, you ensure that you get them done properly, and you also reduce the risk of making errors.

This can be applied when organizing your home, too.

8. Use Productivity Apps
