The cost of cars, both new and used, has skyrocketed in recent years. The prices are so high that many people struggle with the car payments they have to pay. However, there is a huge disparity in the prices of new cars. It’s still possible to find a car that won’t be too much for your budget.

According to Cars.com, these are the cheapest new cars that are on the market today.

2023 Mitsubishi Mirage ES

This tiny car is the cheapest on the market today. It’s a hatchback that gets great gas mileage with a combined fuel economy of 39. It’s a great car for city driving and can keep your fuel costs lower. It runs $17,790.

2023 Kia Rio LX

At $17,785, this car is a steal among new cars. It also gets pretty good gas mileage with a combined fuel economy of 36. It has an 8-inch touchscreen and features a rear camera.

2023 Nissan Versa S

This car is known for its many features that usually aren’t found on cars at this price point. These include pedestrian detection with automatic braking. This car runs $18,745 and gets a combined 35 mpg.

2023 Kia Forte LX

This is a small car with plenty of features and a low price tag. At $20,815, it’s priced well for its sleek lines and modern touches. It gets a combined 34 mpg, making it perfect for the commute.

2023 Hyundai Venue SE

Very close to the price of the Forte, the Venue SE goes for $20,985. It gets a combined 31 mpg. It’s not bad for a larger vehicle that looks like an SUV. It doesn’t have all-wheel drive, however.

2023 Kia Soul LX

This model has been updated for 2023 with several changes to stay on top of modern design. Both the front and rear ends have been updated. It goes for $21,215 and gets a combined 30 mpg.

2024 Chevrolet Trax LS

With its turbocharged engine and its many tech upgrades, this car is a good deal at $21,495. It’s a redesigned model that has more room inside than before. It gets a combined 30 mpg.

2023 Nissan Sentra S

With its $21,725 price tag, it’s still affordable while being focused on the latest tech. This model has had a lot of improvements in recent years to keep it stylish. It gets a combined mpg of 33.

2023 Nissan Kicks S

This is a cute hatchback that’s small in size and big on features. It has emergency automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and many other safety features. It goes for $21,925 and gets a combined 33 mpg.
