15 States That Are Very Terrified of Bed Bugs

Bed bugs have become a big problem in the U.S. They spread rapidly from place to place and can be hard to get rid of. Basically, no one wants to deal with them in their home.

According to Mattress Next Day, some states conduct more online searches for bed bugs than others. These are the states with the highest number of searches for the term “bed bugs” per 10,000 people.

Oklahoma

Oklahoma has by far the highest number of searches per capita of all the states. The term gets searched 4,114 times for every 10,000 residents of the Sooner State.

West Virginia

Largely rural, this state has a lot of households that are worried about bed bugs. The term gets 3,781 searches for bed bugs as people search for a way to deal with the problem.

Ohio

Ohio has several large population centers that have a lot of opportunities for bed bugs to get a foothold. The term is searched 3,657 times by people in this highly populous state.

Missouri

Missouri has large cities as well as a largely rural landscape that bed bugs can take advantage of. The Show Me State searches for bed bugs 3.585 times to learn more about these creatures.

It’s hard to get rid of bedbugs once they get into a home and cause an infestation. People in Kentucky searched for bed bugs 3,529 times to try to figure out the problem.

In one of the most populous states with a high rate of urban centers, bed bugs can take up residence in Illinois just as easily as anywhere else. Illinois residents searched for them 3,490 times.

Indiana

With search numbers for bed bugs at 3,488, Indiana comes very close to matching Illinois’ search numbers. Bed bugs can cross state lines without any problems.

Nebraska
