Finding an affordable travel destination in the U.S. isn’t always easy. There are a lot of expenses to look at, from the price of flight tickets to drinks to accommodations and more. Many factors were taken into consideration to find the most affordable places to go in the U.S.

These are the most affordable destinations for 2024.

Orlando, Florida

According to WeThrift, Orlando, Florida, takes the top spot.

With a large number of flight routes and passengers, getting there tends to be affordable. It also ranks very well for its low prices on food and drinks, though the prices for accommodations tend to be high.

San Antonio, Texas

It doesn’t have the same amount of flights or passengers as Orlando, but it does have very low prices on food and drinks. It also has highly reasonable rates for accommodations and attractions.

Atlanta, Georgia

As a major flight hub, it has an enormous number of flight routes and more than 104K passengers a year for reasonable flight prices. It also has low rates for accommodations.

Dallas, Texas

Dallas is another major travel hub and has 256 flight routes for lower-priced flights. It has low prices for attractions and relatively low prices for meals, drinks, and groceries.

Chicago, Illinois

Chicago has a low price for public transportation and highly affordable meals. It does, however, have high accommodation and drink prices. Flight prices tend to be low with the high volume of flight routes coming in and out.

St. Louis doesn’t have the benefit of being a major flight hub, but it does have very low attraction prices. It also has low meal, grocery, and drink prices, as well as low rates for accommodations.

Philly has very low attraction prices, allowing you to see more sights for less money. It also has good prices for meals and drinks, though it tends to have higher rates for accommodations.

Los Angeles, California

L.A. has a huge number of flights and passengers flying in, so your tickets won’t be high. The city also has very low public transportation rates, though accommodation prices are quite high.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas prices for accommodations aren’t great, but it does have very low meal prices and flight costs. When you want to try a variety of local restaurants, it’ll be easier in Sin City.

Boston, Massachusetts

Boston features low attraction prices, so you can see all that the city has to offer. It also scores well for its prices of public transportation and relatively inexpensive accommodations.

Miami, Florida

In Miami, the prices for attractions are the highest on this list. However, it does have good prices on public transportation, groceries, and drinks. It scores mid-price for its meals.

Washington, D.C.

Washington has fairly low attraction prices, and many of its best attractions are completely free. It also has low meal prices and very low prices for accommodations.

As another major flight hub, flight prices tend to be low. The city has very low attraction prices and plenty of things to see and do. Meals tend to be more expensive here, though.

San Francisco, California

Attraction tickets tend to be relatively low in the City by the Bay, but meals and groceries tend to be quite high. But with all the flights coming in, you can get a good deal on your airfare.
