These 15 Songs Made Their Artists Millions In Streaming Last Year

Spotify is everywhere, and everyone has their favorite songs to stream. The most popular songs of 2023 worldwide may be surprising to some. A wide range of artists and genres are represented in the most-streamed songs.

To get this list, they analyzed the platform’s weekly Top 200 charts for the past 12 months (Jan 2023 to Jan 2024) and calculated the royalties the most streamed tracks must have generated since being uploaded.

The team at CasinoGuardian analyzed streaming data from Spotify Charts. It covers the weekly top 200 most streamed songs in 72 major markets between January 2023 and January 2024. They also looked at figures for the global streams to identify the songs and artists that have been played the most in the world for the past twelve months. Note that the figures include the streams for an artist’s songs, whether these are solo acts or collaborations.

According to CasinoGuardian, these songs had the most play through Spotify in 2023 and earned the artists huge amounts of money.

This list shows the most streamed tracks on Spotify for the entirety of 2023, and the estimated royalties artists should have been paid:

Flowers – Miley Cyrus

From January 2023 to January 2024, this song has been at the top of the list worldwide on Spotify. It was streamed more than 1.65 billion times during that period and earned over $7 million from this traffic.

Kill Bill – SZA

This song has done incredibly well across the world. The unique sound of SZA has caused this song to stream more than 1.41 billion times over the year. It’s earned about $6.18 million.

Harry Styles has a passionate fanbase, and they’ve been streaming this song billions of times. It’s been streamed more than 1.17 billion times and has earned him more than $5.12 million.

This unusual pairing has led to a bonafide hit worldwide. The song has garnered 1.08 billion streams through Spotify. The song has earned almost $4.75 million during the year.

This fast and lively song gets everyone dancing, and it gets everyone streaming as well. It got 1.03 billion views over the year, and it earned $4.52 million.

It’s hard to deny the overwhelming popularity of Taylor Swift. From January 2023 to January 2024, Cruel Summer was streamed on Spotify 1.03 billion times. It earned $4.52 million during that time.

This popular song has set about a worldwide frenzy of streaming. It was streamed more than 996 million times. This blockbuster song earned a full $4.35 million for the artists.

Of course, Taylor Swift is on this list twice. As one of the most popular artists in the world, this song got a lot of attention. It streamed more than 895 million times and earned her $3.91 million.
