Montana women earn 83.8% as much as men in this state. The women there have about 8.10% fewer six-figure earners, and they own about 32.6% fewer businesses than Montana men.
Arizona
The median earnings of women in this desert state are 82.02% of Arizona men. They have an unemployment rate that is 0.70% behind the men of this state. They also own 34.20% fewer businesses than their male counterparts.
North Carolina
In North Carolina, women only earn about 80.53% of what men do. Business ownership among women is 8.38% lower than with North Carolina men. The unemployment rate for women is 1% higher than that of men.
Idaho
The median earnings of Idaho women are only 78.18% of men’s earnings. They also make up 10.28% fewer six-figure earners than men. They make up 37.20% fewer business owners than men.
Maine
Maine has relatively high earnings for women with women earning 87.64% of what men do. However, women in this state own 58.25% fewer businesses than men do.
Iowa
In Iowa, women are looking at a median wage that is 80.64% of what men earn. The unemployment rate between men and women is largely the same with only a 0.08% difference.
Alaska
Women in Alaska have the highest earnings as a percentage of men at 90.87%. However, women in this cold state have an unemployment rate that is 2.71% higher than men’s
California
Women in California could have it better, only making about 77.55% of men’s earnings. Women in this state also have 0.80% higher unemployment than men. They start 35.72% fewer businesses than men as well.
