Prince William gave his wife, Kate Middleton, many extremely expensive gifts, some of which belonged to the family before she joined it.

The Sapphire Engagement Ring
Anyone who remembers Princess Diana sporting this enormous rock knows just how iconic this piece is. It’s worth about $500,000 and features a 12-carat oval sapphire graded at AAAA quality. You can see Kate wearing it on her hand holding the umbrella in the picture above.

This lovely set of hoop earrings has pave diamonds as well as white, pink, and yellow gold circles. This $160,000 set is believed to be Prince William’s 30th birthday gift to Princess Kate.
Ballon Bleu de Cartier
This is a $26,000 Cartier watch that is similar to Prince William’s and his mother’s watches. It has sapphire detailing, complementing her sapphire engagement ring perfectly.
Gold Promise Ring
This $2,000 ring is a lot different from her famous engagement ring. It was a promise ring given to Kate while they were both in college. It’s a Victorian band that features garnets and pearls to symbolize the birthstones of the couple.
Amethyst Earrings
A pair of $2,600 green amethyst earrings were given to Kate on the couple’s first Christmas together after being married. The pair was made with 5-carat amethysts that are pear-shaped.

This set of earrings is believed to be a gift given on the occasion of Princess Charlotte being born. This green $2,600 set has memorably been worn by the Princess on St. Patrick’s Day. They are pictured here.

Kate’s $2,000 eternity band made with pave diamonds was believed to be a gift she received after the couple’s oldest child, George, was born. She wears it alongside her engagement band and her wedding band.
